Ultimate hero of the prime-time airwaves, Agent Jack Bauer, is out to get all of us for our crimes against the environment. In a public service announcement soon to appear, actor Kiefer Sutherland declares, “Global Warming is a crime for which we are all guilty!”
Kiefer’s show, the addictive plot-boiler 24, is simultaneously making a Green move, pledging to reform their production practices enough to make the season finale a carbon-neutral production—a first in television production. The crew and directors will be revamping stage wiring and energy sources to cut down on diesel-powered generators, purchase renewable electricity, and use hybrid vehicles.
More PSA’s are planned beyond Kiefer’s as well, to include several cast members and be incorporated in the upcoming season’s broadcast. Global Warming and greenhouse gas reductions will also be incorporated into the show’s plot, wherever possible.
